Welcome to the Pet Resort of Lake Conroe; we are happy to share our story!
Over the past 20 years, the Shislers have grown their “pet” family of beautiful Golden Retrievers and added a Frenchie and Miniature Aussie. Our passion has always been caring for our loving pets, and when the Pet Resort became available, it was our calling to take over the business and share our story.
We have been sought out by many to bring home rescue dogs who need loving homes. Our first rescue was a red golden retriever, Riley, during Hurricane Ike. She was the sweetest little red golden; we named her our “little red shadow.” She passed away in August 2021 with all of her loved ones by her side. Kody was our subsequent rescue, meeting him for the first time in Dallas, Texas, a show dog living on a couch with minimal attention. We brought him to Houston and never looked back. Our third rescue is Max! Max has quite the personality; he still acts like a little puppy at age four.
During your pet’s stay at our Resort, we promise to create a positive, clean, and safe environment!
